Solidworks Motion Study Tutorials | How to use Torsional Force

In this lesson, we will simulate the effect of truck engine torque

To do this simulation, we will assume that the truck is moving on an unpaved road

We will add the effect of engine torque on the rear wheel of the truck

Open "Wooden  truck- Assembly" 

Start New Motion Study 

Set the type of study " Motion analysis"
To add the effect   the component's weights  click on " gravity" icon 

Set the direction opposite to Y 

Click "contact" icon 

Contact set #1

Contact set #2

Click on " Force " icon 

To open the Motor PropertyManager

select " Torque "

set the value as shown in the figure 

set the end time 5 seconds 

and click calculate icon
